Wayne Ford is a Sydney-born, Australian engineer who has a passion for farming, innovation, technology and sustainability. Wayne, with his business partner Pascal, founded Vertical Patch in 2018, developing the first smart urban controlled environment farm in Sydney.
Wayne believes that looking through the lens of sustainability and leveraging new technology, AI, and Internet of things into new farming systems within urban settings can help solve some of the global problems of food security, climate change and helping cities be resilient and self-sustaining.
