Dr Leif Lundin

Leif is a food scientist, and he is leading the Food research program at the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation). Leif has had a number of different leadership roles in leading food research and development activities. Leif was born in Sweden and has a degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in Biopolymer physical chemistry. He has lived and led food researchers in many different countries. Working in commercial organisations such as Unilever Research and Development and governmental research organisations such as CSIRO and Research Institutes of Sweden in different countries has equipped Leif with experiences of how organisational and national cultures affect leadership. Leif´s current role is to lead 80 food scientists to conduct research to develop healthy and sustainably produced food products.
