Sally Buck is a postdoctoral fellow with CSIRO, interested in the grain composition of chickpeas with a focus on protein content and quality. Characterising diverse chickpeas from around the world, she hopes to identify high value, high protein varieties and understand drivers of grain protein content.
Her work aligns with CSIRO’s protein mission which aims to leverage increasing demand for protein products and ingredients to boost Australian industry.
Originally from WA, Sally completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia and attained her PhD from the Australian National University.
